+When interacting with other attendees, activities such as Surgery imply a certain degree of contact were they to be performed in the real world. In a LRP game, attendee safety takes priority over immersion, and all attendees are entitled to not be touched if they do not wish to. Mitigated contact via LRP weapons and other props is covered under our [[safety_at_events#combat|Combat Safety]] rules. All other interactions require consent to touch or contact another attendee. In most circumstances consent to contact can be reasonably inferred by body language - an outstretched hand offering a handshake, extended arms as an invitation to hug, etc - this must be consented to by both parties, the opportunity should always be given to reject contact. It is always acceptable to refuse contact - it is a breach of this Code of Conduct to force, pressure or guilt other attendees into any physical contact. Consent to a certain level of contact in future interactions can be offered from one attendee to another, but this can be withdrawn at any time, for any reason.
+Certain close IC interactions are considered part of the game rules, and during these interactions the difference between IC and OOC consent can be less clear. It may be, for example, that your character is rejecting an interaction In-Character, while OOC you are fine with it and enjoying the roleplay. In these rules-facilitated interactions, you must have explicit spoken OOC consent to touch another attendee - usually a quick OOC check-in before initiating the action will suffice. +Most tents could be considered In-Character at OSLRP events, as there are little or no restrictions on the type of tents that qualify as such. However, your tent is considered to be your personal private space by default, and attendees may need to go out of character in their tents or store important OOC belongings in them. You must treat other people's spaces with respect - this means you must not enter an in-character tent unless you have explicit permission to do so from the tent’s owner. Members of the [[Game Team]] and First Aiders may need to enter someone’s tent in an emergency, such as to extinguish a fire or retrieve medication, but they will alert the occupants (if any) to their intent beforehand.
